Why Use a Scissor Fob?

Years ago scissors were very expensive. Women would hide their good scissors from family members as they were reserved for sewing and needlework projects. Many of you can probably remember someone screaming "Who used my scissors? I will find you!!!".

If you drop a pair of scissors, they will usually fall on the blade tips, perhaps even sinking the tips into the floor. This harms the tips, oftentimes bending them. If you add a scissor fob (with a bit of weight), the fob falls first, pulling the scissors after them. The fob somewhat breaks the fall and enables the scissors to fall more flat versus falling on the tips.

It's not such an issue today as we are fortunate enough to have so many choices and price ranges when shopping for scissors. Yet, if you have that special pair or an expensive pair, add the scissor fob to protect your precious merchandise.
